Integrated Family Medicine Focuses on Holistic treatments with Natural Detox and Acupuncture
May 26, 2011 — VOORHEES, NJ – Integrated Family Medicine, a traditional and holistic medical practice, is offering patients several natural treatments, including acupuncture, as well as detoxification and drainage.
Detox is an important natural continuous bodily process that occurs in humans every day. A detoxification treatment supports the body’s own detox system, and drainage allows the toxins in the body to mobilize, and then become metabolized or neutralized and excreted. Detox and drainage supports several major organs, including the lymphatic system, liver, kidneys, bowels, lungs and skin.
Dr. Robert Davis explained, “Detox and drainage therapy supports a healthy lifestyle by providing a natural, gentle, effective cleansing of the body and key organs.” He continued, “Symptoms that may indicate a need for detox and drainage include: allergies, joint pain, asthma, fatigue, digestion problems, sleeplessness, and skin rashes.”
Integrated Family Medicine also offers acupuncture, an ancient medicine that treats patients through the insertion of thin needles into specific areas, or points, in the body.
Dr. Karmazin stated, “Acupuncture stimulates the specific areas on the skin that affect the physiological functioning of the body’s processes. We offer acupuncture to patients who would like to relieve pain or have other medical conditions, such as IBS (Irritable bowel syndrome), TMJ or other issues. In addition, acupuncture can assist with smoking cessation, weight loss, and helps to promote overall general good health.”
Depending on the condition, every acupuncture and detox and drainage treatment is customized for each patient individually. In addition to these natural treatments, Integrated Family Medicine also treats patients with biopuncture, a unique therapy that promotes the body’s natural healing process. Considered a safe, healthy alternative to steroids, biopuncture is used as a treatment for arthritis, tendonitis, sprains, various sports injuries, as well as bronchitis, colds, flu and other medical conditions. Biopuncture features micro-doses of natural substances.
